The thematic emphasis of this year’s European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) 2018 is hazardous waste – be it explosive, flammable or toxic. In a few weeks’ time (1st April 2018), changes to legislation – the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES) – will make it, in most circumstances, unlawful to rent or sell a commercial property with an energy performance certificate (EPC) rating of F or G.
