Waste Management Audit/Assessment

All waste producers have an obligation to understand and record what waste streams they produce and how they manage waste. They also have a duty of care to ensure that all waste produced is disposed of in line with legislative requirements and that records about volume of waste are kept along with details of where the waste was disposed of. A waste management audit identifies all waste streams that a client is responsible for producing, or for managing on behalf of others, for example tenants. An audit identifies current waste performance and offers potential missing controls and improvements that could be made to the systems in place.

What are the benefits?

Potential benefits include: increased recycling rates and, therefore, reduced cost of waste; legislative compliance; improved awareness of current waste management performance and management of environmental impacts.
