Asbestos Re-Inspection Survey

The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) were last updated in April 2012 to implement EU Directive 2009/148/EC. These regulations require employers and/or persons in control of premises to identify asbestos containing materials (ACMs) within the workplace and implement suitable and sufficient management controls. A specific requirement within the CAR is to conduct periodic re-inspections of ACMs on-site and update the relevant risk assessment accordingly.

What are the benefits?

Completing an Asbestos Re-Inspection Survey ensures compliance with the CAR 2012 and provides documentation of any material change in order to keep an up-to-date asbestos register. Undertaking correct identification and management of asbestos risks ensures protection of the health and safety of all personnel on site.

How can the S2 Partnership help?

One of our experienced and highly qualified asbestos consultants will undertake a site re-inspection survey to assess the present condition of asbestos containing materials (ACMs) identified in earlier surveys. If any areas were excluded from earlier surveys, these can be surveyed and sampled to HSG264 standards. The review will also include an update of the material risk assessment, drawing up amended documentation, completing an asbestos management plan and making recommendations for further remedial action, where necessary.
