HSE Continued Focus on Work Related Stress

The HSE has relaunched its stress e-bulletins following on from the release of their new strategy, the focus of which is on working with others to prevent ill health and work related stress.

The latest project in development is set to be released to support the strategy – Helping Great Britain Work Well. The project aims to raise awareness on the effects of stress, the costs involved and preventative measures in an effort to tackle the rising impact of work related stress. With the latest figures indicating that the British economy is losing £5.2 billion a year due to work related stress, depression or anxiety it is now the main cause of illness with approximately 9.9 million working days lost due to ill health in 2014/15.
