IEMA Publishes Practical New Guidance for Environment and Sustainability Professionals

10th June 2013

The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) this week published new guidance designed to provide practical advice on identifying and building effective business cases relating to climate change.

‘Climate Change Adaptation – Building the Business Case’ focuses on business concerns such as reducing energy costs, ensuring continuity of supplies, complying with legislation and improving business resilience and performance.

With contributions from over 280 environment and sustainability professionals, the new guidance provides practical measures based on experience to assist others in developing an effective corporate strategy for extreme weather and climate change. Alongside highlighting ‘early-mover’ opportunities, the guide also helps identify longer-term risks and opportunities in order to future-proof businesses.
