S2 Partnership releases PropTech thought piece, published by GRESB.

30th April 2018

S2 Partnership’s Software Director, Rob Mead, has recently written an article for publication by GRESB for their members, focusing on the importance of PropTech.  Entitled ‘Innovation to drive down risk’, the thought piece highlights the benefits of using technology to monitor and drive continued environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance improvements.

A key theme is how PropTech for risk management should be easy-to-use and bring together different workflows into one central system, ensuring that any portfolio has full visibility of risk performance in real time.

Some of the aspects of good PropTech for risk management highlighted in the article include: collecting and logging data regarding compliance inspections; valuation or insurer surveys; or even security checks side-by-side – allowing owner-investors to view the type and the severity of risks present within their portfolio.

The piece also looks at how organisations are using property risk management software to increase the visibility of risk within their portfolio, and outlines how it can provide users with in-depth trend and data analysis.

An overview of recently-developed functionality highlights how systems must constantly evolve in order to meet user requirements.  Finally, the article outlines, with practical examples, how property owners and investors can also use PropTech systems to facilitate readiness for sale.

As a GRESB Premier Partner, the S2 Partnership works with clients worldwide, implementing RiskWise to assist organisations with portfolio risk management to help meet GRESB objectives, and drive continued ESG performance improvements.  To view the whole article, please visit the GRESB website.
