Subject to being approved by Parliament, the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 (GSUIR) will come into force on 6 April 2018. The Approved Code of Practice and guidance will then apply.
The minimum energy efficiency standard (MEES), was introduced by the government and comes into force from the 1st of April.
The first global standard for occupational health and safety management, ISO 45001 has now been published by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). ISO 45001 will replace OHSAS 18001, the former standard for workplace health and safety.
In a few weeks’ time (1st April 2018), changes to legislation – the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES) – will make it, in most circumstances, unlawful to rent or sell a commercial property with an energy performance certificate (EPC) rating of F or G.
