The S2 Partnership Announces Charity of the Year 2017-2018
Continuing its work in supporting the community, the S2 Partnership is delighted to announce its Charity of the Year 2017-2018 as Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK), the national charity which carries out pioneering work focussing on prevention, treatment and cure. ARUK encourages a movement across society to support, fund and take part in dementia research and the charity aims to empower people across all generations through greater understanding of dementia.
ARUK was selected by an internal employee vote and will receive all of the funds raised by S2 employees over the coming twelve months.
S2 employees have already been busy thinking up new ways to raise funds for ARUK and have a number of challenges in the pipeline. Last year saw the successful launch of fundraising events including Dress Down Fridays and Breakfast Club.
Announcing the partnership, S2 Director, Stewart Smith, said: “We are delighted to support Alzheimer’s Research UK as the S2 Partnership’s Charity of the Year 2017. ARUK funds a broad range of ground-breaking research projects to help understand dementia and drive us towards better diagnosis, prevention and treatment”.
