FIA Publishes Revised Best Practice Guidance on Fire Safety

26th February 2014

The Fire Industry Association (FIA) has revised its guidance to help businesses understand how to successfully manage fire safety in commercial premises.

The updated version of the FIA Best Practice Guide to Fire Safety is aimed at everyone who has responsibility for fire safety in their premises and now encompasses updated fire safety signage.

The 28-page guide discusses the responsible person’s legal duties and includes a five-step guide to fire risk assessments followed by a breakdown of various protective measures, which include fire detection and alarm systems, means of escape, emergency lighting, fire fighting equipment and fire signage.

The revised guidance is available on the FIA website here.
