The S2 Partnership celebrates its 15th Birthday!

The S2 Partnership celebrates its 15th birthday today (3rd February), marking fifteen successful years of providing first-class risk management products and services to the commercial property sector.

The S2 Partnership has come a long way since 3rd February 1999, when Stewart Smith formed the company in Swavesey, just outside Cambridge. The S2 Partnership has grown rapidly ever since, developing its service offering to deliver a broad range of commercial property risk management services including health & safety, fire, water, asbestos and environmental management, as well as its market-leading software, RiskWise.

With four regional teams combining specialists from a range of disciplines, the S2 Partnership’s consultancy team now delivers over 120 consultancy services, locally and globally, to property investors, insurers, managing agents and corporate organisations.

The introduction of the market-leading RiskWise risk management software in 2005 further confirmed the S2 Partnership’s position as the experts leading innovation in commercial property risk management. Today, RiskWise has over 7500 users, across the world.

During its fifteen years, the S2 Partnership has racked up a number of certifications, enhancing its reputation for high quality services. In 2006, the S2 Partnership achieved ISO 9001 certification for quality management, shortly followed by ISO 14001 for environmental management in 2007, demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability and services to clients. In 2012, the S2 Partnership achieved OHSAS 18001, the British standard for occupational health & safety, for its own operations, enabling clients to also benefit from a tried and tested health & safety management system.

During 2013, the S2 Partnership further enhanced its training offering, launching a number of IOSH and RoSPA accredited training courses. In particular, a number of S2’s clients have benefited from the launch of the unique IOSH Safety Management for the Property Industry course designed especially for property managers, facilities managers and surveyors to gain awareness of managing safety issues commonly identified in the property sector.

The S2 Partnership’s presence continues to grow and today, the company has 77 employees, and clients spanning the globe, with its headquarters still based just outside Cambridge.

With 2014 well under way, a number of exciting developments are eagerly anticipated, including significant enhancements to the RiskWise system and other software set to deliver further efficiencies and cost savings to clients. The S2 Partnership’s consultancy services continue to raise standards, providing ongoing benefits to clients through new and combined services, delivered across the UK and also on a global scale.
