The Fire Brigades Union will be taking strike action in England and Wales on Wednesday, 25th September, between midday and 4pm, over the government’s pension offer. During this time, the reaction times of the Fire Service may be delayed and so, the need for proactive fire risk management becomes even more important.
A minimum of 17,000 students slept in university bedrooms containing asbestos last year, figures obtained by the Guardian reveal. Of most concern, many students were not warned that the substance was present in their rooms.
